Forcing it Out

Hey all. It's 5:03am and I've been up all night. Same thing happened last night, but I was up till six. A few days ago I clipped the mirror of a parked car, and that turned into a huge mess. The guy tried to scam me out of some money with a bullshit estimate figure for repairs so insurance should cover everything and get this whole mess sorted. Money is tight, and I have been wasting most of my time so far for the first two weeks or so. I'm loosing track of days so I can't say exactly how long it has been since I was last productive. Lately I have been waking up at one or two pm.

My flight for Portland leaves on the 12th, and the program starts on the 17th and will go on for four weeks. As an attempt to end my all-too-long hiatus, starting tomorrow, I will be sure to have my camera around my neck at all times which should force me to get back in the habit of shooting regularly instead of just coming up with ideas and sitting on my ass. This may seem somewhat contrived, especially because it concerns art, but I can't afford to wait for some kind of fantastic inspiration to come and force me back into a permanent state of constant creativity. My lack of effort is simply a habit which needs breaking. There are tons of old images I need to sort through and post, and maybe even some more sculptures, but for now my efforts must go back into taking new photographs.

Hope you are all well. Stay inspired, and stay passionate.

-Spencer

You are certainly welcome. From what I have seen of your work it would appear that you have a very refined style and recurring themes that demonstrate a very raw and personal connection to your creations with highly refined presentation and execution. Needless to say, you are truly a master of your craft and I am nothing short of impressed and awestruck.

Well behaved women rarely make history.
No problem, I'm interested in seeing what you create next.
